Trust Medical Equipment and PFI Project Agreement Advisors for the PFI Redevelopment Project. UMG provided in depth advice to the Trust in the negotiation and closure of a PFI Managed Equipment Service (MES) in addition to comprehensive support of the equipment planning activities asset reviews, equipment specification and finalisation of equipment requirements, room data sheets, budgets and specifications as necessary to the PFI agreement. This advice and support is a current continuing role throughout the detailed design, construction and commissioning of the development, which is due to become operational in 2006.

Paddington Basin Health Campus PFI Project

Trust Advisory Role – Health and Space Planning. UMG worked with the Trust Project Team and Clinicians to develop Output Based Specifications and Schedules of Accommodation for all Departments. This involved the translation of operational policies into a format which included the overall requirements of the new facility, such as departmental adjacencies, and future changes to service delivery. This was in preparation for the Full Business Case for the project.

Trust Advisory Role – Medical Equipment Advisors. UMG worked as an integral part of the PFI Project Team to provide advice and expertise on all aspects of equipping.

UMG is providing Health Planning for this project, working with a private consortium. Have been successful in qualifying for FITN.

Health Planning Consultancy was provided for the private Consortia, appointed preferred bidder, It involves leading clinical user group meetings, meeting with the Trust Project Team and working with all the Consortia members to ensure the best design solution for the new facility.
Equipment Audit and Evaluation services for 3 sites involved in the new redevelopment project. UMG were contracted to provide a general overview and assessment of the all medical equipment and furniture assets. UMG undertook the detailed audit and review of equipment within the hospital, providing a full asset register with determination of transferability and continued usability of current assts leading to determination of new equipment and furniture requirements.
